How to Make More Money: Become a Sales Referral PartnerStuck in a dead-end job that you dread going to every day? Are you unhappy with how little you are being compensated for the work you do? Do you feel like you are not living up to your full potential?

If you’ve answered “Yes” to any or all of these questions, you are not alone.

The 2016 job satisfaction survey by international research association The Conference Board discovered just 49.6 percent of American workers are happy in their current positions. While this is higher than previous years, it’s still less than half.

This means 50.4 percent of the American workforce would likely jump at the chance of landing a new professional position if the opportunity arose.

A career as a sales referral partner could improve your happiness and income.

A sales referral partner is a sales agent who recommends—or refers—their company's products and/or services to prospective clients. This sales agent receives a commission, as well as other potential benefits, for every new client gained as a result of these efforts.

This position is needed within a variety of industries—the pharmaceutical, construction, and credit card processing sales, just to name a few.

The main reason sales referral partners can make more money? Lifetime residuals.

Lifetime residuals refer to the monthly income you receive for signing on a client. This means you do not get compensated merely one time for your hard work; instead, you are rewarded for the lifetime of that particular client’s relationship with your employer.

For instance: Let’s say you're a credit card processing sales agent. Once you complete the sales process and officially onboard a client, you earn a commission. Let’s also say the client continues to receive merchant services from your employer for the next decade. You are paid monthly throughout this period.

Yes, you’re getting paid even after you’ve done all the heavy lifting. And the more clients you sign on, the more money you make!

The bottom line: Working for a company that believes in its employees, is invested in their success, and also provides the proper support and training in its agent program, not only results in happier employees, but more opportunities to make additional money, too.

Are you interested in sales, particularly in the merchant services field? Here’s some advice on how to be a successful credit card processing sales agent!
