Credit card processing company MerchantPro Express (MPX) assists clients nationwide through a network of branches staffed by dedicated merchant services professionals. Each office has a unique story and personality, which we like to highlight for further insight into who we are as a company.
The MPX Michigan office has grown exponentially within just a few years and exemplifies our positive presence throughout the United States.
Established in 2013 outside Grand Rapids with a team of just two, this branch now boasts more than five times that, with sales agents and referral partners driving new business every single day. At the head of this extraordinary operation is MPX Partner Brian Sullivan, who combines strong leadership and collaboration to cultivate a workplace environment that continues to exceed expectations.
Sullivan does not accept all the credit, however, noting that his highly talented team is inherently drawn to the company's exceptional values and mission of providing high-quality merchant services to clients.
He notes the office's lack of micromanagement as one of its most important characteristics.
“Agents have a lot of freedom to conduct their business in the way that works best for them,” Sullivan explains.
The praise doesn't stop there, though.
“We all strive to look out for each other,” he continues, expanding on how the office culture he’s nurtured fosters a collaborative environment where each member feels like part of a “collective team that supports one another.”
After some reflection, Sullivan adds that his office is more “like being part of a family.”
While such a description might seem foreign to other organizations, it’s what members of the MPX family have come to expect, frequently citing this as one of the many reasons they’ve flocked to MPX.
The Michigan office has achieved great success as a result of this sharing, close-knit culture.
“We’re gaining new clients every day,” Sullivan says, explaining he’s had the privilege of building credit card processing relationships with organizations of all sizes, including two very recognizable nonprofits.
Beyond the branch's high client acquisition and low attrition rates, Sullivan credits much of its success to “the goodwill we’ve built on the street. We have a great reputation with our clients and our agents. As a team at MPX we strive to deliver the best merchant service experience in the industry and people know that they can trust us, whether they come to us looking for merchant services or looking to join the team.”
